The Garden Club of Celebration was formed to bring together people in our community who have a common interest in gardening and the environment, and to further develop this interest by learning and sharing. As part of this goal, each year the club awards one or more scholarships to high school seniors with interests in studying environmental science and/or horticulture at the college level. Students may apply with the Osceola Education Foundation Common Application or directly to the Garden Club by downloading our application. Application deadline for 2024 is Wednesday, January 31. If you have any questions please contact the Scholarship Committee at cgcscholarship2024@gmail.com.
2024 Scholarship Recipients
This year three, $2,000 scholarships were awarded to three deserving high school students — Lillie Gibbs, Hannah Moribe and Ashley Rodriguez. Lillie Gibbs, accompanied by her mother and sister, were guests at the Annual Spring Luncheon on April 10.
Hannah Moribe (pictured right) was not able to attend our Spring Luncheon, but she was awarded her scholarship by VP Jaime Eriks at the Osceola Education Foundation Awards Presentation in late April.
All three of our scholarship recipients sent us lovely thank-letters, which can be seen by visiting our News Page.
A thank you to our Scholarship Committee members Linda Quinn (pictured above with Lillie), Meryl Rachlin, Tami Dayharsh, Arlene Sanchez-Busee and Judy Conk.
