Memorial Tree Program

Celebration residents can donate a tree in memory of a loved family member or friend. Trees are planted along the streets of Celebration to increase the tree canopy and beautify our lovely town. Memorial trees are marked with a commemorative plaque.

The Garden Club began an Honor and Memorial Tree Program in 2022 under the guidance of Dave Arena. He went to CCDD, CROA and ARC meetings and received permission to run this program here in Celebration.  Planting sites are made available to us, and we buy trees that fit the location. Exquisite Landscape donates their service in acquiring and planting the trees in the chosen locations. After the trees are planted and irrigation lines are run to them, we add ground level bronze plaques set in concrete. The tree bases are then mulched.

If you are interested in having a tree planted in remembrance of a loved one, please email us at gardenclubofcelebration@gmail.com.

2024 Memorial Trees

This year two Crepe Myrtle Memorial Trees have been planted near the big pond on Oak Pond Drive. The other three trees are going in on West Lawn near intersection with Celebration Avenue.

2023 Memorial Trees

This years Memorial Trees were sponsored by Dave Arena, Bonnie O’Connell and Sandra/Kristen Farris in remembrance of lost family members. The 2023 Honor Tree was planted to honor Patricia (Tricia) & David Alesbury. Tricia served as club president from 2013 – 2020, and David was the webmaster through 2022.

Below are photos of the 2023 Honor and Memorial Trees. One is planted by the ponds at Mirasol, two on Golf Park and one on Campus Street heading towards the library near where the golf cross the road.
