EACH YEAR THE GARDEN CLUB OF CELEBRATION PLANTS ONE TREE TO HONOR MEMBERS WHO HAVE SERVED OUR COMMUNITY.

The Celebration Garden Club has chosen to honor Patricia (Pat) Schroeder with the Honor Tree for 2023 – 2024. Pat was a politician who represented Colorado in the U.S. House of Representatives from 1973 to 1997. She was the first female U.S. Representative elected from Colorado, and ran for President of the United States in 1988. She was active in politics for the rest of her life, and continued to mentor women around the world.  

Pat and her husband Jim lived in Celebration for many years. She was a member of the Celebration Garden Club and very active in our community. Pat passed away suddenly in March 2023, and her warmth, quick wit and wonderful sense of humor are sorely missed in Celebration.
