He earned his Master of Science and Doctor of Philosophy degrees from the University of Florida’s Soil and Water Science Department, specializing in soil and plant relationships and environmental stewardship

Urban Forests @ Heritage Hall

     Forests are not only in our rural areas. Urban areas also have  large number of trees and they have different stresses placed upon them compared to their rural brothers.  What are some of these stresses and how are urban trees cared for differently than rural trees? Why do we need a tree canopy and what are the benefits? 

Speaker: Chris Kincaid  

    Chris is the Urban Forester of Osceola County. He has a strong background in natural resource management, urban forestry, parks and trails, recreation facilities construction and emergency management. He is a researcher with a graduate degree focused on Forest Resources & Conservation from the University of Florida.
