Our first meeting of the new Garden Club year was a chance for everyone to get together, talk about their summer exploits and welcome new members to our wonderful Club. We were delighted to welcome Karen Cannon of Tea Craze LLC, voted best of Orlando Food specialty outlet for the second year running. Karen gave us a very informative talk about the benefits of drinking tea. She described various blends of tea and we tasted three different tas, a black tea, a white tea and a red tea.

How to brew the perfect cup of tea..
- Bring fresh cold water to a rolling boil
- Add leaves to teapot, filter or infuser. Use 1-3 teaspoons of tea leaves per cup (8oz) of water
- Let boiling water cool slightly. Pour over leaves and cover
- Steep leaves between 2-5 minutes
- Pour and enjoy!
Refreshments for our meeting were delightful, finger sandwiches, mini quiches, cinnamon rolls and small dips. These were prepared by our refreshment committee headed byJeri Lambdin and Judi Nelson. It was a lively meeting and everyone enjoyed tasting the various teas.
