Eight Garden Club members worked in the Memorial Garden on a rather warm morning. We weeded the center bed and then planted bush daisies, bulbines, and society garlic in the beds on either side of the steps. Dave took cuttings from the Ty plants and planted them behind the bromeliads. Brad divided a couple of bromeliads and then planted variegated liriope and flax lily in place of the wandering jew which had died. The irrigation system and drainage needs some attention.
Celebration Foundation have presented the Club with a plaque in recognition of the efforts of Garden Club in improving and maintaining the Garden. We placed it on a stand in the center bed. The Garden now looks colourful and cared for, a pleasant place for contemplation.
