Merle Deland, President of the Tampa Bay Begonia Society gave a fascinating talk on this interesting group of plants. He brought lots of different varieties to illustrate his talk and gave an informative handout on their care. From small pink and red small flowered annuals used as bedding around town to the large leaved Begonia rex, they seemed easy to grow and care for. Merle showed us how to propagate plants from leaves and stems. Members were able to purchase lovely plants at the end of the meeting.
